Since I last wrote I discovered an assignment (due either the day of discovery, or 2 days later, depending on which part of the uni site you looked at!). So have done that. Was writing a PPV (problem posing vignette).
My PPV was about one of my main work issues - to explore how to make customised training scalable (without employing more people). We have a client base that receives customised applications and likes the personalised service that goes with that.
I've been finding (in my limited readings so far) that most education research seems to be written with a classroom educator in mind - for schools or highed education. I'm in the corporate world, working often with one learner, sometimes a class full (all 6 people!). I can immediately disregard disciplinary issues as people simply need to know the application to get their work done... and I'm dealing with motivated adults (motivated for a variety of reasons no doubt).
Will need to explore wider readings ... I'll keep you posted!
